Salsa Digital is committed to the public sector. Through our open platforms and philosophies, our focus is to partner with government departments and agencies for them to achieve true connectedness and leverage across and within jurisdictions. In line with this focus we’re pleased and proud to announce the partnerships we’ve achieved with government.

DTA’s Digital Marketplace

The DTA Marketplace covers a range of digital deliverables, including user research and web development (which covers Drupal and GovCMS services). We’ve been on this panel since its inception, see Salsa Digital joins Digital Marketplace for more information, and have signed up to the Master Service Agreement (MSA) to streamline the contracting process. All government agencies (federal, state and local) and other government organisations (such as the ABC and some universities) can access this marketplace.

Salsa is currently registered in the marketplace for the following services/categories:

• Agile delivery and governance
• Software engineering and development
• Support and operations
• User research and design

Australian Government, DHHS’s Creative and Digital Communication Panel

The Creative and Digital Communication Panel covers everything from graphic design and web apps to editorial services. Through this panel, federal agencies can commission Salsa’s full range of digital design and communication services, including user research, web/app design, and content writing services. This federal panel can be used by all Australian Government agencies and is set up as a Standing Offer. We’ve been on this panel since 2015.

Victorian Government eServices Register

The Victorian Government eServices Register covers a range of IT services, such as software as a service (SaaS) solutions and data services. The eServices Register is powered by Vendor Panel. This register provides a contract template for agencies and vendors to use. It’s a very efficient contracting method that can be used by any Victorian Government agency, including local government authorities and not-for-profits delivering government services. We’ve been on this panel since 2015.

NSW ICT Services Scheme

The NSW Government ICT Services Scheme was set up to streamline the procurement of ICT goods and services, and to improve delivery quality. Through the scheme, NSW Government agencies access prequalified suppliers of a range of ICT services. Following a rigorous assessment process, we were accredited to supply the following services to NSW Government agencies:

• Business analysis
• Custom application development
• Web design and content management services
• Software support and maintenance service

This panel started in 2013 and we’ve been on the panel since 2017. (Read our blog about the panel.)

QLD tenders portal

This tenders portal is set up for Queensland Government agencies as a central place for tenders. Queensland agencies can access Salsa’s services through this tender process — we can respond to the tender in the portal. While there are no prequalification requirements (it’s a tender portal rather than a panel of prequalified vendors) it’s still a good way for Queensland agencies to access our services via a tender process.

Engaging our services directly

In some cases government agencies can procure our services via a “direct approach”. Naturally there are State/territory specific procurement rules that apply for when and when not it is appropriate. Federal agencies can review the Commonwealth Procurement Rules for more info.
